Position Title:  Data Engineering Lead

We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Lead Data Engineering to drive data strategic initiatives from foundation across the organization. This role demands a seasoned leader with deep technical expertise and proven experience in transforming the data landscape for the organization and managing high-performing teams. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior strategy and digital teams to drive data-backed decision-making, operational efficiency, and innovation.

DESCRIPTION

• Lead and manage a cross-functional team of data engineers, BI developers, and analysts, fostering technical excellence and collaboration.
• Architect, implement, and maintain scalable data platforms using AWS, Azure, Fabric, and Databricks.
• Build relational data models and semantic layers to support AI/ML applications and self-serve analytics.
• Design and develop data warehouses, data marts, and dimensional models using Star/Snowflake schemas.
• Drive continuous improvements in data architecture, modelling, and performance optimization.
• Establish and enforce data governance practices including documentation, data lineage, quality checks, metadata management, and access controls.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into high-quality data solutions and actionable insights.
• Oversee the development of dashboards and reports using Tableau and Power BI, ensuring multi-level data security and governance.
• Lead automation and AI use cases (e.g., chatbots, AI agents, predictive models) to reduce operational effort and cost.
• Present insights and strategic recommendations to executive leadership including CEO, Chairman, and Directors.
• Conduct end-user training and promote data literacy across the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

Required Experience & Skills:

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in Data Analytics, Engineering, and BI.
• Proven leadership in managing data teams and delivering enterprise-scale solutions.
• Expertise in AWS, Azure, SQL Server, Oracle-ODI, PL/SQL, Python, and PySpark.
• Strong proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, Glue, Alteryx, and Business Objects.
• Deep understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and performance optimization.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.
• Experience in documentation, milestone tracking, and delivering high-impact solutions.
• Demonstrated success in AI use cases for operational efficiency and forecasting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
• Certifications in AWS or Azure; Tableau or Power BI certifications are a plus.
• Experience in FMCG/Food manufacturing industries.
