Job Purpose

The Wholesale Sales Supervisor is responsible for achieving sales growth and operational efficiency across assigned wholesale accounts. This includes implementing and managing sales plans, achieving monthly sales and collection targets, and enhancing channel performance. The role emphasizes fostering robust relationships with customer teams, both front-line and head office, while ensuring seamless execution of promotional activities and operational excellence. The wholesale supervisor also plays a critical role in coaching the sales team, managing customer accounts, and ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.

 

Key Accountabilities

(1) Driving Sales Team Performance

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of wholesale sales representatives and other sales team members, ensuring that targets are being met.
  • Identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance sales team performance.
  • Provide training and continuous support to the sales team, helping them improve sales techniques and achieving their goals.
  • Ensuring that sales volume, sales promotions plan, implementation, innovation listing, distribution, displays, and shelf space objectives are met.
  • Forecasting and controlling budgets to ensure win-win business deals and minimizing losses.
  • Prepare phasing sales history and allocate the right selling range with the right delivery to the right outlets, considering weight, location & consumer criteria.

(2) Sales Strategies & Market Trends

  • Regularly communicate with the sales team to update them on sales progress, market trends, and competitive activities in the region.
  • Ensure all required sales, activity, and settlement reports are prepared accurately and on time.
  • Implement and follow up on all end-to-end sales activities within the region to ensure successful execution.
  • Monitor market trends and competitors’ marketing activities, providing insights to enhance competitiveness and inform strategy.
  • Develop and implement, and achieve effective sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets, quotas, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure that products are prominently displayed within stores and that MSL SKUs are effectively maintained, distributed & activated.

(3) Stock Levels & Logistics Management

  • Ensure that adequate stock levels are maintained across all wholesale, preventing stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Work closely with the demand team to ensure availability of safety stock and avoid any supply disruptions.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of orders to all customers.

(4) Cost Control & Financial Management

  • Control market damage, product expirations, and returns through effective stock rotation and placement.
  • Ensure effective management of warehouse stock aging to avoid product wastage.
  • Rationalize sales costs, optimize routes, and transportation expenses to maintain profitability.
  • Oversee the collection process according to company financial and sales policies, ensuring compliance with credit policies.

(5) Customer Relationship Management:

  • Dealing with assigned customers to apply the agreed annual KAM agreements, utilizing the upcoming events.
    Building and maintaining a strong relationship with store-level managers.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues to ensure complete satisfaction.
  • Understand the unique needs of each client, offering tailored solutions and products to meet those needs.
  • Prepare phasing sales history and allocate the right selling range with the right delivery to the right outlets, considering weight, location & consumer criteria.                                                                               

 

Qualification, Experience, & Skills

Academic and professional qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience, preferably in the KSA FMCG market.
  • Proven experience managing local wholesale clients.

 

Technical Skills

  •  In-depth knowledge of sales, distribution & logistics
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, customer satisfaction, and cost control.
